Dream Dream Dream ... Dream Interpretation

What is a Dream?

Dream analysis

Karl Jung described that dreams are a way of communicating and acquainting yourself with the unconscious.

Jung argues that dreams are not attempts to conceal your true feelings from the waking mind, they were windows to our unconsciousness.

Dreams allow you to understand with a little more clarity what is happening to you in the challenges of daily life.

Dreams can also be described as manifestations of our deepest desires and anxieties, often relating to repressed childhood memories or obsessions.

Dream a Dream

Flying Dreams:

According to Jung flying implies either you are buoyant and bouncing means safer zone.
flying high decodes a broader perspective.
flying down uncontrollably decodes to maternal instinct.
watching something on the surface and await to do a heroic act decodes to a protective demeanor.

The Chasing Dreams:

  • chased by a snake
  • chased by a bull
  • chased by a car
  • chased by an unknown person
  • chased by unknown forms.
Karl Jung would analyze the chase dream stemming from feelings of anxiety. Running or flight is an instinctive response to physical threats in your environment. The dream signifies how your subconscious mind responds to pressure and cope with fears, stress, or various situations in your waking life. Instead of confronting the situation, you are avoiding itJung implies that running is an avoid-er personality who dislikes confrontation, so flight not fight.

The Falling Dreams:

  • Falling from above
  • falling into a well
  • falling from height viz. a tower
According to Jung, the flying dream means that unconsciously, you want to be free or you want to be superheroic, rescuing the needy. It also means that you have a different perspective on things.

The falling dream is analyzed by Jung as an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. Feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situations in real lifeThis may reflect the way you feel at your work environment or relationship. When you fall, there is nothing that you can cling on to. You are forced towards downward motion without any control.

Jung is correct, this dream signifies most stressed at work or whenever you feel totally out of control.

Remembering Dreams:

Dreams can last for a few seconds to 20 minutes long. You are more likely to remember the dream if you are awakened during the REM phase. On average every person has about 3 to 7 dreams a night.

Dreams In Animals:

All mammals experience REM. Dolphins experience minimum REM, while humans remain in the median, and the opossum and the armadillo are among the most larger dreamers.

Studies have observed dreaming in monkeys, dogs, cats, rats, and elephants. Signs of dreaming observed in certain birds and reptiles. Sleeping and dreaming are intertwined.

Dreams in blind people:

Now, what is the case with blind people? Do they have Dreams? How do they Dream?

The interesting part is Yes, blind people do dream. Their dreams depend on how much they could ever see. Auditory Dreams may include sounds, Like the visuals, sounds vary in intensity from faint impressions to loud noises, such as crashes and bangs. The latter Dream of their deepest desires and anxieties, often relating to repressed memories. If someone is totally blind since birth, they only have auditory dreams.

People may imagine their own name called. Snatches of imagined speech are common. They may manifest as their own inner voice, or as the voices of others. Familiar people or strangers. More rarely, poetry or music is heard.

Also sensations like falling, hitting drifts them from sleep.

Are Dreams in Color or Black and White?

A very small set of people say that they dream only in black and white.
